Friday the 18th of January saw the light of the first of hopefully many Purl Alpaca Designs workshops held at the lovely yarn store Knit with Attitude in Stoke Newington.
The workshops are based around specific techniques and the first one was a beginners workshop. We have also got a Continental workshop and a cabling workshop lined up. Have a look at the options on the Knit with Attitude website!
Should you have any requests for specific techniques or projects you would like a workshop on, let us or May-Linn at the shop know and we will see if there is enough interest to put one on! You can contact the shop on their contacts page.
We had a great time at the beginners workshop, Rini, Claire and Sherry all got a good start to their project. They learned how to cast on, to do the knit stitch using the continental method and cast off.
They came away from the workshop feeling happy about their project and hopefully kept up the good work once home.
A highlight of the day was Kari-Helene's home made American style cookies. They went down a treat and here is the recipe if you would like to try them. Kari-Helene did hers with dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, and later she did a batch of M&Ms. They look pretty tasty, don't they?
